“Great experience! We walked in on a Saturday afternoon and immediately were seated. As a party of 3 we ordered a tea set with one pot (we each got multiple cups of tea from it) and desserts. We upgraded from the regular sweet to the hojicha marble cake which was amazing.
The servers were very attentive and welcoming and the environment was not too loud, clean, and comfortable.
I would probably not come on the regular to get the whole set again, but I’d come back to try the other individual desserts!”
“Duo Cafe is a hidden gem for anyone who appreciates the art of traditional tea and beautifully crafted desserts. This charming spot offers a remarkable selection of teas, including the aromatic White Peach Oolong, the soothing Jasmine Green, and the robust Tieguanyin, each brewed to perfection.
The desserts are equally impressive, with the Caramelized Sweet Potato with Vanilla Ice Cream and Black Tea Basque Cake standing out as highlights. These treats are not only delicious but are presented with such care that each dish feels like a work of art.
What really sets Duo Cafe apart is its successful blend of traditional and modern influences, creating a welcoming space that feels both familiar and innovative. The ambiance is perfect for a relaxing afternoon or a sweet evening out.”
“Quiet, lovely little tea shop tucked away in the east village. I went on a weekday so it wasn’t crowded and the vibe was very chill.
You get to smell all the fragrant tea and pick one from there. We got a set which came with some dried fruit, fresh fruit, sweet potato and biscuits.
Everything was delicious, and surprisingly, not too overpriced. I will be back!”
“The peach matcha was sooooo good!! Puree was fresh, not too sweet and not artificial. This place is so cute on the inside! About 6 tables, including a super adorable window seat. There’s also one table outside that gets some pretty perfect sunlight at 11am.
Prices are good. Volume is good. Very solid delish matcha spot with unique twists & flavours!”

“Great great spot for fun matchas. I loved both the peach matcha and the biscoff hojicha. The taro matcha was good but not a strong taro flavor.
The biscoff matcha/ hojicha came highly recommended by the staff (surprisingly) and it was actually really delicious if you’re in the mood for a dessert/milkshake vibes.
Morning is too sweet. Everything is just perfect.
Inside I’m super cute and tranquil. I loveeee the seat near the window.
The staff are super nice !!!”
“Their sweet potato itself already just nice for me, but for ones who have a super sweet tooth , their ice cream will definitely satisfy their craving . Their taro cheesecake taste really good combine with light whipped cream”
“Such a lovely place! The cake I ordered was perfectly balanced—not too sweet, with a clear, delightful scent of black tea. The jasmine tea was wonderful too. I think everything here is just perfect.”

“This Chinese tea house is a hidden gem in the East Village! A cozy spot with a natural interior, this is the perfect place to catch up with a friend or go for a solo, peaceful treat. Service here is great.
When you arrive, you're given a basket of tea leaves and you get the choice to choose one or a couple of them to sample. All of them were so fragrant and there was a good variety of them of choose from. My friend and I got their sweets tea set with their milky oolong tea and both loved it. The sweets tea set came with melon, dried fruit, cookies, and a bruleed sweet potato. Everything was sweet, but not overwhelming—the perfect pairing for the milky oolong. It was so peaceful and the perfect spot to enjoy your tea while chatting with a friend!”
